Top 10 Documents To Show Your Foreclosure Lawyer

The first time you sit with your Foreclosure Lawyer you should come prepared. Below are a few suggested items you should bring to help get the process moving.

Here is a common list of documents I ask my Palm Beach County clients to bring to their initial consultation:

1. If you have been served with a foreclosure suit, a copy of the summons and complaint you received.
2. Copy of your Mortgage.
3. Copy of your Promissory Note.
4. Copy of your Loan Application.
5. Copy of the last 6 months of Loan Statements from your Lender/Servicer.
6. Copy of any Default Notices from your Lender/Servicer.
7. Copies of any correspondence from you to your Lender/Servicer, including any requests for loan modification, short sale, or deed in lieu.
8. The Closing Documents/Package you received at the Closing of this Loan.
9. If applicable, copies of any documentation supporting your financial hardship.
10. Your State issued identification (driver's license).
